Hi, my name is Michael. I am a student at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. I am currently working on my Masters degree. My field of study is Decision and Information Science.

This web site is setup to host the RTS Google Map web application. This project started out in my studies for my Masters degree. I started it out as a project to model the building of requirements in terms of data, through entity relationships, to a database structure. Being from a programming undergrad degree and currently working as a Software Engineer Intern at SumTotal Systems, Inc., I took the project to the next level by implementing it.

The project is an ASP.NET 2.0 Web Application. All server code is written in C#. I am currently relying heavily on the Prototype and Scriptaculous JavaScript libraries. Data management is handled by NHibernate. I am using a Model, View, Controller setup. This translates to a Business Access Layer, a Data Access Layer, and client side code (the view, in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript).
